Customer Support Team
Evie works as part of our Customer Support Team, dealing with a range of enquiries from our customers on a day to day basis which are largely telephone based. Prior to joining Churches Fire, she worked as a Facilities Administrator within a healthcare setting but now loves the variety her role offers. Evie said “I have never worked anywhere where people are so welcoming and supportive. One of the main things I love about Churches is how great the company is at developing people – not only in terms of promotion, but also in terms of using and building your skills… I love training, so I have been given the opportunity to support our new starters in their roles with call training, which helps to build their knowledge quickly”

Training Support Manager
Safir joined our team when his previous employer was acquired by Churches Fire & Security. Safir was already a highly experienced Fire & Security Technician and Manager, so join us as a Field Line Manager before taking overall responsibility for our Academy as Training Support Manager. Safir commented “From the moment I became part of the Churches team I haven’t looked back. Churches is great at identifying people’s skills and making sure they are challenged and rewarded and I can say that from personal experience”

Extinguisher Technician
Harry joined Churches Fire & Security in 2021 having worked in traffic management. He had no fire industry experience but since joining the business has been trained and developed within his role, and is now undergoing further training to become an Alarm Technician, ensuring that Churches’ customer systems are well maintained in line with British Standards and are fit for purpose.Harry commented "This really is a company where you get out what you put in – The development I have received since I joined is brilliant and it’s the best job I’ve ever had!”.

Churches Academy (Technician)
Having previously worked in a support role for the NHS, Chris was looking for an opportunity to become specialised in a sector where his technical skills would be needed. He joined Churches where he was trained as an Extinguisher Technician and soon secured a place in our Academy, where he is being trained on the service and maintenance of fire alarm systems and all relevant British Standards. Chris said “I’m truly grateful for the opportunity and support that Churches have given me all the way through. It’s phenomenal how quickly I’ve been able to build a new career.

Field Line Manager
Matt joined Churches Fire & Security just a few years ago without industry experience. He had worked as a tradesperson, but wanted a change in direction. Matt passed through our training academy – first as an Extinguisher technician, then alarms, becoming fully multi-skilled and working on security and CCTV systems. Today Matt successfully manages a team of Technicians, offering support, advice and mentoring. Matt says “I would encourage anyone to join Churches – In my experience it’s a really positive place to be and I feel proud to have been able to progress in the way that I have”.

Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Operator
Tom joined our Customer Service Team having left college and worked in a Customer Service role elsewhere. He became a key point of contact for our customers, dealing with service requests, queries, orders and call-outs. When a new role became available in our ARC, Tom applied and was given the training he needed to step into the role. Of his new role, Tom commented “I love being part of a team where you get recognised. Churches are always promoting people into different jobs internally and I think that’s a real plus. Working in the ARC is really exciting.
